Your new job

We are now looking for a curator for our Learning Center, which is part of Adult Education. The position primarily targets our existing students but also applicants who need support before upcoming studies. You will be part of our support team and together with your colleagues, you will be responsible for the remedial, preventive, and promotional health work for our students.

The work mainly takes place at the Learning Center (Barnarpsgatan 40), with our educational providers, and through outreach activities throughout the municipality.

As a curator within adult education, you provide support to students and, if necessary, to staff. You conduct supportive and motivational conversations, assess students' needs, offer methodological guidance to staff, and collaborate both internally within the municipality and externally with other actors. You contribute a psychosocial perspective to the operations to give students the best possible conditions to achieve their knowledge goals while also thriving and feeling well.

The needs of the students and the organization guide the work, which means that you need to be flexible in a changing environment. At the same time, you will have great opportunities to shape and develop the psychosocial work at the Learning Center within the framework of your assignment – in a responsive and learning organization.

Your qualifications

The position requires a higher education degree of at least 180 credits (bachelor's degree or equivalent) in:

• Social Work
• Social Pedagogy
• Behavioral Science

We would like you to have experience working in educational settings or similar. It is an advantage if you have worked with adult students with various disabilities, have experience in community work, or have planned and conducted health-promoting workshops/activities at the group level.

You are communicative, proactive, and prepared to assist with tasks that lie on the periphery of your assignment. We are looking for someone who is positive, engaged, and wants to contribute to developing psychosocial work within adult education.

Good collaboration skills are important, as well as the ability to easily build trusting relationships with both students and staff. You are flexible, creative, attentive, and empathetic. Personal suitability is highly valued.
